Experience

experience Nokia - Hardware Development Engineering Co-op
September 2025 - Present
  • Run various tests to validate the hardware design for 32-port routers that can transmit up to 800Gb/s per port.
  • Debug router hardware issues, such as no current draw per phase and ethernet port circuits, with lab equipment.
  • Tune router ports to minimize insertion loss and achieve compliance with industry-standard eye diagram specifications.
experience Iceberg ASV - Electrical Designer
May 2025 - Present
  • Lead the electrical team in researching electrical components and designing PCBs for an autonomous surface vehicle.
  • Design a power board that that provides two thrusters with up to 50A and protection by over-current sensing.
  • Design a driver board that controls an LED tower to indicate the ASV operating mode.
experience Paradigm Engineering - Electrical Designer
September 2023 - June 2025
  • Research electrical components and PCB design in autonomous cars. Learn and adjust electrical design from the team’s previous competition.
  • Design an auxiliary board for vehicle motion control via a pair of LoRa modules. The board has 48V power input and delivers power to components at 48V, 12V, and 5V.
  • Design and test a control board which takes power from a 48V battery and distributes power to different voltages (48V, 12V, 5V, 3.3V). This board uses ESP32 as the MCU.
  • Design an E-stop system, connected to control and power boards, to safely halt the car in an emergency.
experience Sanmina - Hardware Test Engineering Co-op
January - April 2025
  • Troubleshooted optical signal impairments and insertion loss with OPM and OSA in electro-optic circuits of a 1.6Tb/s optical modem.
  • Characterized optical signal power, signal integrity, and modulation performance of various failure modes through debug logs and auto-generated graphs.
  • Debugged detection circuits and power supplies issue with labs equipment such as microscope, DMM and oscilloscope.
  • Identified board failure causation and developed re-work solutions, tracing defects from schematic through layout to manufacturing variances.
experience ExxonMobil - Instrumentation, Controls, and Electrical Engineering Co-op
May - August 2024
In my second internship with the ExxonMobile:
  • Collaborated with vendors and led meetings with offshore technicians to develop detailed plans for control system architecture enhancement of the Hibernia facility.
  • Participated in Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) to review and verify concepts for control network upgrades on the Hibernia platform.
  • Managed and reviewed instrumentation alerts to troubleshoot potential issues in Hebron platform's operations.
  • Visited Hebron offshore facility.
experience ExxonMobil - Instrumentation, Controls, and Electrical Engineering Co-op
September - December 2023
  • Conducted a comprehensive obsolescence study on Hebron's IC&E equipment to minimize operation risks and maintain integrity.
  • Collaborated with contractors to provide solutions to Variable Frequency Drive VFD upgrades to optimize Hibernia's operation.
  • Supported facilities' management of change to ensure execution completion, document updates, and equipment maintenance revision.
  • Visited Hibernia offshore facility.
experience The Cahill Group - Electrical Engineering Co-op
January - April 2023
In my second internship with the Cahill:
  • Managed the operation and schedule of electrical panels to minimize commissioning delays.
  • Inspected electrical equipment such as sensors and controllers in the Building Automation System (BAS) to ensure project requirements and accurate readings in the control interface.
  • Continuously evaluated electrical systems' performance and managed on-site issues in BIM360.
experience The Cahill Group - Electrical Engineering Co-op
May - August 2022
  • Monitored weekly progress with electrical device installation status and generated productivity reports in Power BI.
  • Improved a Markup Database Tool in Python, allowing users to delete markup information in SQLite database and export data as CSV files for selected import date(s) in the user interface.
  • Managed on-site technical issues and updated electrical equipment status in Bluebeam.
